Maple Confections Class

Class Date & Time: 8/22/26: 9:00-12:00

Learn about all the things that can be made by a simple sap that naturally flows from trees that may be in your backyard!  Our instructors include educators from OSU Extension, as well as the president of the OMPA (see Class Details below for names and credentials, as they are TOP notch!).  It won’t be often you get to be trained by a group of people this qualified, get to ask your questions, and take your knowledge home with you to apply to creating treats your families will love and your neighbors will envy!  Note that this is the first time we are doing this class (thus the ‘heavy hitters’ on the instruction side), so we will be doing our best to keep within the class time limits.  The fee for this class is $50 total per person., and will include all instruction and samples of each of maple candy, maple cream, and maple sugar to take home with you!  Hope to see you out on the farm! 

What's Included:

• All instruction and any materials distributed as a part of the education
• Samples of maple candy, maple cream, and maple sugar made during class
• Education on what you need vs. what would be helpful to have in making these sweet creations at home with none other than 100% Pure Ohio Maple Syrup. Note that early season (light, or golden/delicate) maple syrup is always considered the best for making these maple confection products.
